Unit 1 Test Information

Your Unit 1 Test is on Friday.  It is 40 questions--multiple choice, a map, pictures and a reading.  The test will be based on the following resources:

1.  Unit 1 Overview:  Make sure you know the terms and the can answer the questions under each "essential question."
2.  Homework.  Questions will also come from the Prehistoric Art reading guide and the Reading Guide on Mesopotamia.  Make sure you know the characteristics of complex civilizations!

Document Based Question:  Intro to Documents, Part 1

Over the next two days, you will be looking at documents from the civilizations in this unit to answer an essay promt.  You will categorize the documents and write a statement that explains the main idea of each document.

Continue with the DBQ.  Today, you will be grouping the docments in common themes and write a thesis statement.

Tomorrow, you will have your first quiz over Chapters 1-2.  Look at your Unit 1 Overview.  You should be able to answer Essential Questions 1-4.  Plus, the terms Culture through Caste System.  You will find flashcards above.

The Rise of China.  Today, you will be finishing a note sheet on China.  The note sheet can be found here.  Take notes on the China Presentation.


Then, we will be watching a film about China and the very strange emperor, Shi Huangdi.

Webquest:  Judaism   You will be completing the webquest in class.  What you don't finish will be for homework.  It will be due on Monday.
